The quality of our life and our personal action power are directly related to the quality of our goals. If we aim high, let’s say for the moon, we will be excited and find ways and the drive to get there. If we aim too low, we will barely find the energy to get out of bed in the morning.
So if you paint yourself in the corner of being an essentially unimportant subordinate taking other people’s orders from 9 to 5, your life will not be very interesting, and it is more than understandable if you do your chores halfheartedly and, whenever possible, delay them.
Your level of happiness and the quality of your life do not depend on what you are or what you have right now, but on what you aim for. So, please, try to aim for the moon because then, even if you fail, you will be among the stars.
Our first lesson in this series on how to overcome feeling overwhelmed and procrastination is to find out where our personal moon is and how we can streamline and polish the rocket to get there.
Can you see it? Is it bright and full or is it half gone and barely visible?
Can you take full responsibility for the trip to your personal moon?
For today’s lesson it is enough to understand that other people’s motivation is not yours. Don’t wait for others to motivate you.
Choose your own motivating goals and set them as high as you can, and then start your journey to get there in small babysteps, one after the other.
See you in the next lesson.
Have a good trip!
